NCL has had Wii games played on it’s 12 ships now for awhile. They are set up to be played and watched on all of their ships two story atrium walls. Young and old alike are always competing against each other all times of the day.
Norwegian Cruise Lines has now introduced Nintendo’s Wii Fit, a new fitness game, aboard its 12 ships for play not only in their atrium areas but in other areas on board as well. NCL sent many crew members to be professionally trained by Nintendo on the Wii Fit games. Classes will be instructed by the NCL crew that attended these special training sessions. These NCL Wii instructors will also facilitate contests and tournaments to encourage cruise guest participation.
Wii Fit uses their unique Wii Balance Board, a newly introduced game accessory that connects wirelessly to the Wii console. The Wii console acts as a centerpiece for more than 40 different fitness programs from Yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance games. Besides for the NCL instructors, the game itself also offers virtual trainers that will coach users through all their various activities and make suggestions to the users on how they can improve using their Wii programs.
