Win A Trip To See A Cruise Ship Being Built – Then Set Sail

Looking for a unique experience? For cruisers or even non-cruisers – visiting a shipyard and seeing in person the building of a cruise ship would have to be one of the most unique thing to do and see and not something everyone can brag about either!

Celebrity Cruise Lines is now offering this opportunity which is usually off-limits to travelers – a chance to visit their newest ships the ‘Celebrity Eclipse’ and it’s still unnamed Solstice class ship, while it is still being built.  There will be 10 lucky winners and the sweepstakes provides many exciting details.

The winners will be brought to the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Germany to get a behind the scene tour of the ship yard and the building of the newest Celebrity ship plus the chance to sail on the new Celebrity Eclipse as it sails out of the shipyard in Mid March 2010.

Another extra special amenity to this sailing is that the Celebrity Eclipse will be sailing from Papenberg, German to Emshaven backwards! Check out this extraordinary backwards journey planned by Celebrity. The Celebrity Equinox made the same backwards sailing.

The winners will enjoy their accommodations in the ships Aqua class staterooms and everyone will enjoy sampling Celebrity’s award winning ship cuisine.   The contest begins December 7th, 2009 and ends January 14th, 2010. To enter the contest fill out the sweepstakes contest form online. Only US and Canadian citizens are able to enter. The winners will also be given free airfare and pre and post hotel stays in Dusseldorf and Amsterdam. The winners will be announce on January 28th, 2010.
