Are you a Foodie? Are you like me and watch the Food Network all the time? When my family goes our beach house together in the summer our family does Food Network theme nights like Rachel Ray night or Desert Challenges. Needless to say with a combines 5-6 families we have a lot of fun and a lot of really great food.

Celebrity Cruises is planning a 7 night Food Network themed cruise in the Caribbean. The first ever ‘Food Network at Sea’ is being planned to bring the network to life for vacationers to experience and interact in culinary demonstrations with Food Network Chef and stars. There will be taste testings, demonstrations, meet and greets, recipes and more for all to enjoy.

The first Food Network chefs being booked are chef Cat Cora of iron Chef and Aaron Sanchez of Chefs vs. City. Other events are planned including a Battle of Solstice Chefs. More information to be announced soon.

SpongeBob Cruises On NCL in 2010

SpongeBob Square pants and other well know Nickelodeon characters will be sailing on board two NCL ships in the coming months. An announcement stating that these characters will be on board the NCL jewel in April and their brand new Epic in July.

There will be interactive shows, character breakfasts, meet and greets with the characters, dance parties and more for passengers and their families to enjoy. Nickelodeon themed events and displays will also be added to their children’s programs during these cruises as well.

This is a launch of a three years agreement between NCL and Nickelodeon…so look out for more announcements of special events like these with Nickelodeon stars, themed cruises and shows premiers to be held on board several of NCL ships in the near future.

Harry Potter’s Wizarding World Is Getting Ready To Fly High In Florida

Universal Studio’s is creating ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ as an exciting new theme park within their Orlando, Florida theme park. The park will immerse guests into the town of Hogsmeade, as described in the Harry Potter book series. The entire town is being recreated as the magical world described by the author R.K. Rowlings, this is so visitors can experience first hand this imaginary place. This 20 acre theme park will be located within Universal Studio’s Islands of Adventure. The main area of the theme park will be the town of Hogsmeade, but it will also include the Forbidden Forest and of course, Hogwarts Castle.

Warner Brother’s studios has partnered with Universal to capture the true essence of the magical world of Harry Potter. The theme park is being created with strict authenticity, to be able to bring to life all of the stories of Harry Potter.

I have had the pleasure to visit the UK for short periods of my life. I had visited London, England a few times, as well as some of the British countryside. So as I read the Harry Potter books myself, it was easy for me to go back when I was there and saw some of what was written by R.K. Rowlings. The attention to detail for the movies will also be brought out at ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”.

You can follow the stages of this unique and magical theme park being built in Universal Studio’s. Their website has polls and additional information about the park that is interactive. Plus you can sign up to get email’s updating you on the progress and the announcement of the final opening date in 2010. I know that my family may be in line again at midnight, like we did to get our hands on each new book that came out. We are excited to see and experiance the mysterious, mystical world of Hogwarts and imagine the life of Harry Potter and his wizarding friends.

Ever thought about taking dance classes but wasn’t sure if you would like them, or didn’t want to sign up for a long term dance instruction contract? Well then enjoy all the free dance class instructions the cruise lines have to offer. Dance classes are usually offered several times during a cruise, so take advantage of them, even if you do not have a dance partner. The cruise staff is usually there to offer their time to help you learn all kinds of new dance steps.

They usually offer different styles of dance every day or so. You can learn popular Latin dance steps, the waltz to the latest line dancing craze. Besides if you don’t like it, you won’t feel like you are wasting your money because these classes are for free, where dance instruction on land can cost a small fortune. The dance classes are light hearted, fun and great exercise too.

Not sure about taking a dance lesson on board a cruise because you have two left feet – just blame your miss-steps on the ship moving and nobody will be the wiser!

One of the most popular groups of the 60′s who sung songs such as ‘She Cried’ and ‘Forgive Me” were chart hits for Jay and The Americans. The band started as high school classmates from Long Island , NY with a distinctive sound and a clean cut image.
