Can you relate any preference between a Suite ( the most forward cabin available where the wind could be an issue ) vs a Suite as far Aft as possible ( less windy I suppose ) other than the difference in the view of where you are going as opposed to where you’ve been ?

Thanks

Ken

Ken,

Thank you for your question. I for one do not have any issues with being forward especially, if I get a to have a suite! I have found over the years on the 16 cruises I have taken personally, that I sleep so much better with the sway of the ship. The forward cabins do tend to have a slight upward lift to the natual sway of the ship in water. If you are at all prone to motion sickness, this could cause some issues.

I tend to prefer the aft of the ship and again, if I am lucky to have a balcony cabin or a suite the better. I love to watch where I have just been fade away like a treasured memory. I like the way the waves fan out from the sides and the back of the ships and the designs they make. I have been lucky enough to have seen some whales, dolphins etc. while looking out the back of the ship where I have never caught those brief encounters when I have stationed myself up front.

It can get windy at time at the ‘back of the boat’ also. Mostly side gusts. I am probably one of the few women who doesn’t worry how my hair looks on a ship - let the sea breeze toss it about all it wants. I am where I want to be and I am traversing a beautiful ocean and the smell and feel of a sea breeze reminds me I am not at home working. Besides for me, ocean air clears my sinuses!

I do tend to wax poetic at times, but I prefer the aft and a sea breeze any day I can have one.

Happy sailings!
